VegasNow Sports Betting in Australia: tabs, bet types and rules
Most Australians know VegasNow for pokies and live tables, but the same account also opens our sportsbook under the Sports tab. Here we set out what the Sportsbook Rules and sports promotions say: the four betting areas, how singles, express and system bets settle, the sports welcome offer, the x3 deposit rule, cash-out, stake limits and account checks. Read them before your first slip, and bet only if you are 18 or over.

Each row is unpacked below. Where the rules leave a detail to the offer terms, we say so rather than fill the gap.
How VegasNow sports betting is licensed
Our sportsbook operates under the casino’s Curaçao Gaming Authority licence, OGL/2024/164/0246. The holder is Just Entertainment B.V., registered in Curaçao as company 160603; the licence dates from 13 August 2024 and its status reads Active. The public validator shows the record and the domains approved under it.
In practice, a disputed bet is settled under the VegasNow Sportsbook Rules, not a local bookmaker’s house conventions, so read them first. The protection tools are the ones you already have on the casino side: deposit limits and self-exclusion inside your account reach sports betting too. Our licensing page explains the record line by line.
Sports, In-Play, Virtual Sports and Esports at VegasNow
The Sports tab sits in our main menu beside Casino and Live Casino, and it opens onto four areas.
Sports
Pre-match betting on fixtures still to come, sorted by sport and competition. Filters pick out top leagues and events starting soon.
In-Play
Betting on matches already running. A counter on the tab shows how many events are live right now. Prices shift fast, and a bet can be turned down if the odds move before acceptance.
Virtual Sports
Computer-simulated events, so team news and form guides are no help here.
Esports
Video-game competition with its own settlement terms per title, such as what happens on a CS2 map after a disconnection or when a team retires.
Roughly 40 sports have a settlement section in our rules. For Australian bettors that takes in the football codes (Australian Rules, both rugby codes and soccer), cricket, tennis, basketball, netball and golf, combat sports such as boxing, MMA and UFC, plus motor racing, darts and snooker. Horse and dog racing have their own racing section. A written rule is not the same as open markets: only the Sports tab shows whether a given AFL or NRL fixture is available on the day.
Singles, express and system bets on VegasNow
Our rules use a few names that differ from everyday Australian betting talk.
| Name in the rules | What punters usually call it | How it settles |
|---|---|---|
| Single | Straight bet | One pick, paid at stake × odds when it wins |
| Express | Multi (parlay) | Combines at least two legs; the odds are multiplied and one losing leg sinks the ticket |
| System | System or combination bet | A bundle of smaller multis from your selections, so a return is possible without every leg winning |
Two rules limit how a multi can be built. Selections drawn from the same match, and bets on the same player in one tournament, may not be combined on an express or system ticket; if such a ticket gets through anyway, the stake is refunded even though the platform accepted it. Group betting is barred as well, that is, the same outcomes backed over and over by one customer or a linked group, and such bets may be reviewed.
A voided selection is settled at odds of 1, which drops it out of the multiplication. Each sport’s settlement section decides when a void happens.
Worked example: three picks as a single, an express and a system bet
Take three pre-match selections priced at 1.65, 2.40 and 1.85 in decimal odds. Decimal odds include the stake, so a winner returns stake × odds. The table illustrates the arithmetic only; it is not a tip.
| Bet | Stake | Working | Return if it wins |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single on the 1.65 pick | A$25 | 25 × 1.65 | A$41.25 (A$16.25 profit) |
| Express, all three legs | A$25 | 25 × 1.65 × 2.40 × 1.85 = 25 × 7.326 | A$183.15 |
| Express, 2.40 leg voided | A$25 | 25 × 1.65 × 1 × 1.85 = 25 × 3.0525 | A$76.31 |
| System: every double from three picks, A$8 each | A$24 | 8 × (3.96 + 3.0525 + 4.44) = 8 × 11.4525 | A$91.62 when all three win |
The system bet shows the trade-off. Its three doubles are 1.65 × 2.40 = 3.96, 1.65 × 1.85 = 3.0525 and 2.40 × 1.85 = 4.44. If the 1.85 pick loses, only the first double survives: 8 × 3.96 = A$31.68 back on A$24 staked, a profit of A$7.68. If the 2.40 pick loses instead, the surviving double returns 8 × 3.0525 = A$24.42, just 42 cents above the stake. The express pays nothing if any leg fails, which is the price of its bigger headline figure. Check which system layouts your bet slip offers before building one.
The VegasNow sports welcome offer
The Promotions page in our sportsbook lists a 100% up to A$200 Sports Welcome Offer next to a “Deposit and Bet now” button, and the Sports landing page calls it a 100% free bet with an A$200 cap. A dedicated terms page sits behind it. Those terms control the form the credit takes, the prices and markets that count towards it, and the point at which any of it can be withdrawn, so read them before opting in.
At 100%, a qualifying deposit of A$90 would be matched with A$90, and A$200 is the ceiling, so a deposit of A$350 still tops out at A$200. Minimum odds, rollover and similar conditions live in the offer terms, not the headline.
The sports deal and our casino welcome package, worth up to A$8,000 plus 500 free spins spread across four deposits and limited to casino and live casino games, are two different offers. Casino bonus funds are not usable on sports bets. The sports Promotions page also carries Lucky Score & Spin under Bet on Sports Weekly, which hands out free spins for sports betting; read its own conditions there first. Our casino welcome bonus page covers the four casino stages.
VegasNow deposits, withdrawals and the x3 rule
Under Sportsbook rule 2.2, a deposit has to be bet three times (x3) unless stated otherwise. Bets count once they are accepted and settled, whether they win or lose. A cancelled bet, or one where your stake comes back, adds nothing. Until the deposit is turned over, a withdrawal request can be refused. Our general account terms carry the same 3× deposit rule.
Worked example: tracking x3
You deposit A$140, so the target is 3 × A$140 = A$420. Across a week you place:
- A$100 on a single that wins: counts in full.
- A$150 across two express bets that lose: counts in full.
- A$60 on a pick that is voided with the stake refunded: does not count.
- A$40 on a late pre-match bet that is cancelled: does not count.
Counted turnover is A$100 + A$150 = A$250, leaving A$170 to go (A$420 minus A$250). Check this before you deposit, and deposit only what you already meant to bet.
Payments in and out
Sports and casino share one account and one cashier. The deposit minimum is A$30 by Visa, Mastercard or MiFinity and A$25 by Cashtocode; cards go up to A$10,000, and crypto deposits carry per-coin minimums. You will not find PayID, POLi or Neosurf in the AU deposit table. Withdrawals go to methods in your own name: A$30 to A$4,000 by MiFinity, A$300 to A$6,000 by bank wire, or crypto within each coin’s range. Nothing is paid out to an account that is not fully verified, a phone check may also be requested, and if the phone number on file is wrong or a verification call goes unanswered, the rules allow winnings to be confiscated. Full tables live on our payments and withdrawals pages.
VegasNow cash-out, odds changes and stake limits
- Cash-out: on some markets you can settle a bet before the final result. Certain markets with only two possible outcomes are excluded, and a cash-out granted in error can be recalculated.
- Odds changes: if the price moves mid-placement, a notice appears on the slip and acceptance may wait for your OK. Switching on Accept odds change removes that pause, so you take the moved price without reviewing it.
- Maximum stake: varies with the sport, the event and the market, may be changed without warning, and individual account limits can be applied with no reason given.
- Late bets: a pre-match bet taken after kick-off or the first ball may be voided and settled at 1.00.
- No take-backs: once a bet is registered, you cannot cancel it yourself.
Verification and account rules in the VegasNow Sportsbook Rules
Each bet you place signs you up to the rules in force at that time. They can be updated without a personal notice, while bets already struck keep their original terms.
The rules permit identity, credit and video checks. They also give the sportsbook a window of up to 30 days to check documents and up to 180 days to look back over your betting, and the sportsbook may want evidence of where your money comes from, bank statements for instance. One IP address, one device or one local network shared by several bettors is not allowed, and linked accounts face blocking along with cancellation of their bets. A shared home connection falls under that, so if two adults in one household both plan to bet, raise it with our support team first.
Timing is the simplest protection: upload documents when you open the account, so a check lasting up to 30 days does not collide with a withdrawal you were counting on.
Responsible betting: VegasNow limits, BetStop and Gambling Help Online
Knowing the teams can make sports betting feel more controllable than pokies. It is not: knowledge does not remove variance, and multis stack it. Set limits before the weekend starts, not after a bad one.
- Deposit limits and self-exclusion: set them in your VegasNow account, or email support@vegasnow.com and ask us to confirm the scope and start date in writing.
- BetStop: the National Self-Exclusion Register applies to Australian-licensed wagering providers. VegasNow is licensed in Curaçao, so signing up to BetStop does not by itself shut your VegasNow account. To stop everywhere, register with BetStop and also self-exclude with us directly.
- Gambling Help Online: call 1800 858 858 or visit gamblinghelponline.org.au; support is confidential.
- 18+: nobody under 18 may hold an account or place a bet.
Signs worth taking seriously: chasing a loss with a longer multi, betting on matches you had no interest in until a price caught your eye, or moving bill money into the account. If any of those sound familiar, pause and use the tools above. Our responsible gambling page lists every option.
VegasNow pre-bet checklist
- Confirm you are on vegasnow.com and that licence OGL/2024/164/0246 matches the public record.
- Upload verification documents now, not when you want to withdraw.
- Set a deposit limit that fits your weekly or monthly budget.
- Read the sports welcome offer terms before opting in; casino bonus funds cannot back sports bets.
- Work out your x3 figure: deposit × 3 in accepted, settled bets.
- Check the stake limit and whether cash-out is offered on your market.
- For a multi, check how the sport treats voided legs and that no two legs share a match.
- Decide whether every odds change should wait for your approval.
- Keep the bet reference for any slip you may need to query.
VegasNow betting: questions and answers
Does VegasNow have a sportsbook?
Yes. The Sports tab on vegasnow.com holds pre-match betting, In-Play, Esports and Virtual Sports, all governed by the Sportsbook Rules.
What licence does the VegasNow sportsbook run under?
The casino’s Curaçao Gaming Authority licence, OGL/2024/164/0246, held by Just Entertainment B.V. Only adults aged 18 and over can open an account.
What does the VegasNow sports welcome offer give?
A 100% match up to A$200, which the Sports landing page presents as a free bet. Its conditions sit on a dedicated terms page, apart from the casino package.
Do casino bonus funds work in the sportsbook?
No. The casino welcome package is for casino and live casino games, so casino bonus money can’t fund a sports bet.
Are AFL and NRL covered by the VegasNow sportsbook?
Australian Rules and Rugby League both have settlement sections in the rules. Open markets change from day to day, so check the Sports tab for a specific fixture.
What does the x3 rule mean in practice?
A deposit must be bet three times in accepted, settled bets before a withdrawal. A deposit of A$60 needs A$180 of such bets; voided and cancelled bets do not count towards it.
Is cash-out available on every bet?
No. Only some markets offer it, certain two-way markets are left out, and a mistaken cash-out can be recalculated.
How long can account checks take?
Document verification can take up to 30 days and a review of betting up to 180 days under the rules. Withdrawals wait until verification is complete.
Will BetStop exclude me from VegasNow?
Not on its own. The register reaches Australian-licensed wagering providers, while our licence comes from Curaçao. Self-exclude in your account or through our support team, and ring 1800 858 858 (Gambling Help Online) for confidential help.
